RE: IsraelNOW: Our Search For Peace

The following is a report of our recent prayer initiative regarding the focus on IsraelNOW, which took place in Birmingham on April 23. We are thrilled to share with you just a few of the details of the evening and to express to you just how meaningful the time together, united as Jew and Gentile was. Below, you will find our report as written by Marisa Lewis, newly positioned within AL SPN as our Deputy Communications Director. She has graciously agreed to author and submit our reports so that we are all aware of the movements of the Lord in our midst as we seek to follow His plans and purposes.

There was truly a tangible presence of the Lord that surrounded the campus that evening. The Spirit of our G-d was moving across the gathering of the nearly 1400 who were present to share in solidarity for the state of Israel. One of our intercessors remarked that when she entered the auditorium, she almost began weeping because the sweet spirit of the Lord was so powerful. “Taste and see that the Lord, He is good”, and truly we saw how good our G-d is . It was very evident that He was looking for a people upon whom He could shower both covenant blessings and the blessings of unity. Because of your help in establishing the Prayer Shield around Alabama, this event, and the state of Israel and those who are Jews, there were no incidents of real aggression reported. We were given supernatural protection by legions of angels, as well as protection from twice the number of policemen who normally are assigned to this type of event, and also the peace that passes all understanding. I praise our G-d for His Faithfulness to us to guard us in all of our ways. May the Lord continue in each state across the nation, that which He has Sovereignly begun within the state of Alabama–the coming forth of the wisdom of the ages which is the unity of Jew and Gentile, so that the commanded blessings may come upon us all.
